Access to Patient Portal information is dependent on DMDC DS Logon permissions. Beneficiaries may grant permission to family members for access to medical information.

Upcoming Clinic Closures

Released: November 16, 2023

Rader Clinic will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23 for Thanksgiving. Services resume and the clinic will be open Friday, Nov. 24.
Rader Clinic will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for training.
Rader Dental Clinic will close early Dec. 15. Dental services will be unavailable from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.


2023 Community Flu Clinics Scheduled

Released: October 13, 2023

Flu drives are scheduled to begin Oct. 17 and continue throughout the month of October into November. Flu vaccines will be administered to all active duty, TRICARE beneficiaries (6 months and older), retirees, and DOD Civilians at the Fort Myer Fitness Center (212 Sheridan Ave). No appointment necessary. Pediatric and Over 65 shots are available. DOD ID number is required for adults and children. Dates are below:
  • Oct. 17, 24, 26, 31: 8 AM - 3 PM
  • Oct. 19 & Nov. 7: 8 AM - 6 PM (extended hours)
  • Oct. 28 & Nov. 4: 8 AM - 12 PM (Saturday clinic)
  • Nov. 9: 8 AM - 3 PM
The flu vaccine will be the only shot administered at the flu drive. COVID-19 vaccines are available at the Immunization Clinic as walk-in.

Laboratory Closure- July 17 & 18

Integrated Referral Management System (IRMAC) Conducting Staff Training Thursday, June 22

Services Curtailed June 12 Due to HVAC

Rader will curtail services at noon June 12 due to inoperable HVAC.

Patients with scheduled appointments will be contacted by the clinic to reschedule.

Services Adjusted due to HVAC Issues

Rader Clinic continues to focus on the repair of HVAC issues impacting temperatures within the building. Due to warm temperatures within the clinic, we have adjusted services for the safety or our patients and team.
  • Prioritized face-to-face care occurs between 7:30 a.m. and noon
  • Virtual appointments remain unaffected
  • Dental services are limited to sick call and readiness with standard operating hours
  • Pharmacy, laboratory and radiology services continue with a potential for delayed processing time

Operating Hours during MHS GENESIS Transition

Released: March 23, 2023


The Andrew Rader U.S. Army Health Clinic will close on Friday, 24 March at 2 PM in preparation for MHS GENESIS implementation and the soft go-live on Saturday, March 25.   The Andrew Rader Dental Clinic will remain open. 
 
The Andrew Rader U.S. Army Health Clinic will be closed on 5 April for regularly scheduled first Wednesday training. The Andrew Rader Dental Clinic will remain open. 
 
The updated Laboratory Hours are as follows:
27 March – 31 March: 0730-1300. Monday – Friday.
3 April – 7 April: 0730-1430. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
 
The updated Pharmacy Hours are as follows:
27 March – 7 April: 0730-1400.  The clinic is closed 5 April for First Wednesday Training
 
The updated Patient Administration Hours are as follows:
27 March – 7 April: 0730-1430. The clinic is closed 5 April for First Wednesday Training

2nd Floor Services Impacted by HVAC Issues

Andrew Rader U.S. Army Health Clinic is open for services.  We are experiencing HVAC issues on the second floor which is causing a variance of temperature.  In order to maintain a safe environment for our team and our patients, we are temporarily relocating our laboratory services to the first floor readiness clinic until the second floor HVAC system is repaired.

Current services offered include phlebotomy (blood draw) and blood serum HCG testing only. We encourage patients to visit another Military Treatment Facility laboratory in the National Capital Region for laboratory services that Rader is unable to perform at this time.

2nd Floor Services Impacted by HVAC Issues

Andrew Rader U.S. Army Health Clinic is open for services.  We are experiencing HVAC issues on the second floor which is causing a variance of temperature.  In order to maintain a safe environment for our team and our patients, we are curtailing face-to-face services, transitioning to virtual only for Behavioral Health, effective 1200 hours today.  The Laboratory will close at 1200 hours but will shift Phlebotomy Services to the first floor of the Clinic.  Physical Therapy services will maintain normal business hours unless temperatures prove to make operations unsafe.  Occupational Health services will close at 1200 hours today. 
 
Rader Dental has relocated to Logan Dental Clinic at Fort Belvoir until further notice.  Scheduled patients were notified and given options to be seen at Logan Dental Clinic at Fort Belvoir, to be rescheduled, or be seen through the Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP).  All sick calls, in/out processing will be handled at Logan Dental Clinic.

2nd Floor Services Impacted by HVAC Issues

Andrew Rader U.S. Army Health Clinic (ARUSAHC) is open for services.  We are experiencing HVAC issues on the second floor which is causing a variance in temperature.  In order to maintain a safe environment for our team and our patients, we may need to curtail face-to-face services in the afternoon at our Clinic if temperatures prove to make operations unsafe.  The impacted areas are:
  • Physical Therapy
  • Laboratory
  • Behavioral Health
  • Dental
  • Occupational Health. 
If it becomes necessary to curtail services, patients will be given the option to shift to virtual care if that is appropriate.

Rader Dental has relocated to Logan Dental Clinic at Fort Belvoir from 24-27 May 2022.  Scheduled patients were notified and given options to be seen at Logan Dental Clinic at Fort Belvoir, to be rescheduled, or be seen through the Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP).  All sick calls, in/out processing will be handled at Logan Dental Clinic.

Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Update

Released: January 19, 2022

Effective immediately, due to the DoD supply status of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, the Andrew Rader U.S. Army Health Clinic, will provide Pfizer vaccines to:

  • Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard members
  • Eligible beneficiaries ages 5 to 11

    All other beneficiaries looking to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine are encouraged to contact a local civilian medical provider or pharmacy to make arrangements. Please visit Vaccines.gov for more information about COVID-19 vaccination locations near you.

We will continue to provide Moderna vaccines to all eligible beneficiaries.

Laboratory Extended Wait Times and Closures

Due to personnel challenges and the current COVID-19 testing demand, our laboratory is experiencing extended wait times and will close at 2 p.m., Jan. 12-14, 2022. The ARUSAHC laboratory is CLOSED Monday, January 17 due to the federal holiday and is expected to resume normal business hours on Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Due to personnel challenges and the current COVID-19 testing demand, our laboratory is experiencing extended wait times and will close at 1 p.m., Dec. 29, and remain closed tomorrow, Dec. 30. The ARUSAHC laboratory is expected to re-open on Monday, 3 January 2022. 

The ARUSAHC will provide COVID-19 testing tomorrow, Dec. 30, from 7:30 a.m. until we meet our daily capacity, likely before noon.

Andrew Rader U.S. Army Health Clinic (ARUSAHC) COVID-19 Testing Eligibility

If you are experiencing COVID-19 / Influenza / Common Cold / Allergy symptoms please process through the ARUSAHC Centralized Screening Point (CSP) / Testing Site or contact your Provider Team.
 
Due to the ongoing surge in COVID-19 cases and the rise in testing demand, outdoor COVID-19 testing at ARUSAHC is limited to the following individuals until further notice.
 
1) Active Duty personnel and all ARUSAHC & Fort McNair Clinic enrolled beneficiaries who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
 
2) Active Duty personnel traveling on orders for which COVID-19 testing is required prior to travel.
 
3) ARUSAHC and Fort McNair Clinic enrolled beneficiaries who have been instructed by their provider to undergo COVID-19 testing prior to a medical procedure.
 
4) ARUSAHC, Fort McNair Clinic, and JBM-HH eligible employees notified by Occupational Health regarding the need for testing.
 
The ARUSAHC CSP / Testing Site is unable to accommodate any other requests for testing at this time. ARUSAHC typically provides testing services between 7:30am and 3:30pm (0730-1530). However, we will stop testing once we meet our daily capacity and anticipate closures before 12:00pm (noon).
