Rader is a Joint Commission accredited health care facility that provides primary medical care to authorized beneficiaries.
Emergency Care
Emergency conditions are those that threaten your life, limb or eyesight. TRICARE defines an emergency as a medical, maternity or psychiatric condition that would lead a “prudent layperson” (someone with average knowledge of health and medicine) to believe that a serious medical condition existed, or the absence of medical attention would result in a threat to his or her life, limb or sight and requires immediate medical treatment or which has painful symptoms requiring immediate attention to relieve suffering.
Rader Health Clinic does not have an emergency room.
- Emergency care does not require prior authorization
- Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room
Additional Information
Beneficiaries using TRICARE Standard and TRICARE for Life do not require prior authorization during an emergency, applicable annual deductibles and cost shares apply.
Beneficiaries enrolled in TRICARE Prime through the U.S. Family Health Plan must contact their Primary Care Provider or the U.S. Family Health Plan for information on how to obtain follow up care after an emergency.
