The Andrew Rader dental clinic is located within the Andrew Rader U.S. Army Health Clinic on the second floor in Fort Myer, VA.

Andrew Rader Dental Clinic proudly supports the dental health needs of eligible Service Members assigned to the National Capital Region. We provide all types of dental care to include:
- Preventive Services
- Routine Dental Treatment
- Emergency Dental Care
Eligible Service members seen in our clinic are:
Active Duty military as well as Reserve Component Soldiers serving on a current set of orders greater than 30 days.
Our clinic policy requires our staff to verify that we have a current copy of orders on file before you can schedule an appointment for any dental care. If there is not a copy on file or if it has expired, please drop off a copy for us before you call to schedule your appointment.
How to Make an Appointment
All Soldiers must be in-processed with the dental clinic before making an appointment. Ensure to bring a copy of your current orders, military ID and dental record during in-processing hours. Please call during normal duty hours to make an appointment.
After Hours Dental Emergencies
After normal duty hours, if you have a valid dental emergency (severe dental pain, trauma, large facial swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing), you must report to the Emergency Room at A.T. Augusta Military Medical Center 571-231-3162 or Walter Reed National Military Medical Center 301-295-4810.
Readiness Classifications
- Dental Class 1 - No treatment needed or all treatment complete.
- Dental Class 2 - Treatment needed, but unlikely to have a dental emergency within 12 months.
- Dental Class 3 - Non-Deployable - immediate treatment needed, likely to have a dental emergency within 12 months.
- Dental Class 4 - Non-Deployable - Patient requires a periodic oral evaluation (more than 15 months since last dental check-up) or Panoramic X-Ray not present in dental record.
