Limited Contact Lens Services

Contact lens fitting is typically not a TRICARE-covered benefit. However, your optometrist may update your current contact lens prescription at their discretion. We provide TRICARE-covered lens fittings and annual supplies to service members in special units authorized to wear contact lenses.

If you wear contact lens, bring your glasses, contacts, and contact lens information to your comprehensive annual eye exam. Your contact lens information is on the packaging, prescription and sometimes your previous order summaries. You may be asked to schedule a follow-up appointment to finalize your contact lens prescription.

Vision Screenings for Military Physicals and Driver's License Renewals

Vision screenings for military physicals and driver's license renewals are provided in conjunction with comprehensive annual eye exams OR by appointment only Mondays and Thursdays from 8–11:20 a.m. (if you do not wear glasses or have had a comprehensive eye exam within the last six months). Call the appointment line at 1-833-853-1392, option 5, option 1 to schedule your vision screening appointment today.

If you need a vision screening and wear glasses but have not had an eye exam within the last 6 months, please schedule a comprehensive eye exam and bring your DD Form 2808- Report of Medical Examination to the appointment.

Order and Pick up Glasses

Active duty personnel are eligible to order and pick up military spectacles in the clinic.Call the appointment line at 1-833-853-1392, option 5, option 1 to schedule your glasses order/ pick up appointment.

• Glasses can be ordered following a comprehensive annual eye exam scheduled with the optometry clinic, or with a glasses order appointment with one of our technicians if you have a valid prescription
• Glasses can be shipped to your home address by mail or picked up in clinic by appointment only with one of our opticians. If you choose to pick up in clinic, our technicians will help adjust and customize the fit of the glasses to meet your needs.
